In recent years, highly electron-donating ligands have emerged as advantageous for the development of high-performance platinum catalysts for hydrosilylation reactions. This work presents platinum precatalysts based on ylide-substituted phosphines (YPhos) that show stability under ambient conditions and high activities and selectivities in hydrosilylation reactions of alkenes and amides at low catalyst loadings and mild reaction conditions.
In the past years, highly electron-donating ligands haveemergedas advantageous for the development of high-performance platinum catalystsfor hydrosilylation reactions. In this work, we report on platinumprecatalysts based on our recently introduced ylide-substituted phosphines(YPhos). Because of the high electron-donating ability and stericdemand of the YPhos ligands, these complexes are in contrast to Karstedt'scatalysts stable under ambient conditions but still enable high activitiesand selectivities in the hydrosilylation of both alkenes and amidesat low catalyst loadings and under mild reaction conditions.
