The preliminary conclusions suggest that the niobium is mainly hosted in anatase in the bauxite ore, while the lithium is carried by cookeite in the clay rocks. Provenance analysis indicates distinct sources for the Nb-rich bauxite and the Li-rich clay rocks, with the former originating from alkaline felsic rocks in the Emeishan Large Igneous Province and the latter deriving from peraluminous or moderately fractionated felsic rocks associated with Permian Paleo-Tethyan magmatic arcs.
