This paper analyzes the possibility of using quasi-periodic structures as diffraction gratings. Quasi-periodic structures with eight axes of symmetry were successfully generated and fabricated on a diamond substrate using Ammann-Beenker tiling. The impact of increasing the number of symmetry axes on the generated structures was also examined. The proposed solution holds promise for realizing structures designed to diffract light.
In this paper the possibility of using quasi-periodic structures as diffraction gratings was analyzed. The structures were generated using Ammann-Beenker tiling. A quasi-periodic structure with eight axes of symmetry was successfully generated and fabricated on a diamond substrate. Moreover, the influence that increasing the number of symmetry axes has on the generated structures was analyzed. The proposed solution is promising for realizing structures designed to diffract light.
