Unsteady three-dimensional MHD flow and heat transfer in porous medium suspended with both microorganisms and nanoparticles due to rotating disks

Tariq Hussain et al.

Summary: This study investigates the silent characteristics of magnetized mixed convection flow in a porous medium suspended with microorganisms and nanoparticles induced by two expanded or contracted disks. The research introduces Buongiorno's model and multiple slip boundary conditions to describe the behaviors of the nanofluid. Significant findings include the contrary effects of the wall expansion ratio and magnetic parameter on microorganism profiles, opposite roles of Prandtl number and radiation parameter on heat transfer rate, and different influences of Brownian motion and thermophoresis on microorganism flux rate. It is expected that this study will contribute to understanding heat transfer mechanisms in various physical fields.

Significance of geothermal viscosity and heat generation/absorption on magnetic nanofluid flow and heat transfer

Kushal Sharma et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of geothermal viscosity on incompressible magnetic nanofluid flow on a convectively heated rotating disk. A set of dimensionless equations is obtained by considering the heat generation/absorption effect and suitable transformations. The numerical solution using the MATLAB bvp4c solver provides tabular and graphical representations of the velocity and temperature for different parameter values. The results demonstrate that higher heat generation parameter leads to heat energy generation in the flow.

Heat and mass transfer study of hydrocarbon based magnetic nanofluid (C1-20B) with geothermal viscosity

Kushal Sharma et al.

Summary: This investigation numerically studied the heat and mass transfer in a rotating porous disk immersed in magnetic nanofluid (C1-20B) using a numerical approach. The effects of various parameters, such as permeability, viscosity variation, rotation, radiation, ferrohydrodynamic interaction, thermophoresis, and Brownian motion, on the flow regimes were analyzed and presented graphically. The results also showed the numerical data for the rate of heat and mass transfer and coefficients of skin friction in tabular form. The study found that increasing the viscosity variation parameter reduced the tangential velocity, while increasing the rotation of the disk resulted in an increment of the fluid temperature profile.

Propagation of H1N1 virus through saliva movement in oesophagus: a mathematical model

Daya Ram et al.

Summary: This study investigates the behavior of H1N1 virus transmission through saliva in the esophagus using a mathematical model and simulation results. The findings indicate that the presence of a magnetic field can reduce the motion of the virus particles, consequently decreasing the likelihood of infection. Moreover, males may be more susceptible to the virus compared to females and children due to variations in saliva viscosity.

Hydromagnetic boundary layer flow with heat transfer past a rotating disc embedded in a porous medium

Kushal Sharma et al.

Summary: In this study, the effects of Coriolis force and Darcy parameter on time-dependent forced convective boundary layer flow over a rotating disc in a porous medium have been analyzed. The study observed the significant impact of rheological properties of conducting fluids such as water, hydrocarbon, and kerosene on the deviation of parameters, which were further analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively with the help of graphs and tables.
