Electrostatic description of five-dimensional SCFTs

Andrea Legramandi et al.

Summary: In this paper, we discuss a class of AdS(6) backgrounds in Type IIB supergravity and their dualities with five-dimensional SCFTs. We provide the criteria for determining the solutions and interpret them in terms of color and flavor groups in the dual field theory. The paper also presents general expressions for calculating the holographic central charge and the Wilson loop VEV, as well as discusses some solutions outside the general class.

Comments on non-Abelian T-duals and their holographic description

Paul Merrikin et al.

Summary: We present three different solutions of Type IIB AdS4 Supergravity derived using the electrostatic-like problem formalism, which preserve 8 Poincare Supercharges. Two of the solutions correspond to the Abelian and non-Abelian T-duals of a Type IIA background obtained from the dimensional reduction of 11D AdS(4) xS(7) Supergravity. The third solution is a novel background with special properties. We compute the Page charges in each case and provide brane set-up descriptions of the geometries. Additionally, we argue that the non-Abelian T-dual can be understood as a zoom-in of a more general background with a well-defined holographic dual.

N = (0,4) black string chains

Christopher Couzens et al.

Summary: In this paper, we study black string solutions in type IIA supergravity arising from intersecting D2-D4-D6-NS5 branes in the presence of fractional D4-branes. The fractional D4-branes arise from D6-branes wrapping two-cycles in a Calabi-Yau twofold. We construct 2d quiver CFTs dual to our solutions that reproduce the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy microscopically.

Nonintegrability for N=1 SCFTs in 5D

Dibakar Roychowdhury

Summary: In this study, we investigated the Liouvillian nonintegrability criteria for long quiver gauge theories with N=1 supersymmetry in 5D. Our analysis revealed an underlying nonintegrable structure within some sub-sector of these 5D SCFTs. Through numerical analysis, we confirmed the occurrence of chaotic motion for the type IIB strings in these systems.
