Solution-Processable Carbon Nanotube Nanohybrids for Multiplexed Photoresponsive Devices

Qingyu Ye et al.

Summary: In this study, the formation of carbon nanotube (CNT)-based nanohybrids in aqueous solution is reported, where DNA-wrapped CNTs act as templates for PbS and CdS nanocrystals growth. Multiplexed photoresponsive devices with sensitivity to various illumination wavelengths were fabricated from these nanohybrids. The different photoresponses of the DNA-CNT, CdS-DNA-CNT, and PbS-DNA-CNT devices were attributed to varying operational mechanisms, with PbS-DNA-CNT devices showing the fastest response due to photoinduced charge transfer.
