Summary: Chemical investigation of marine-derived fungus Aspergillus austroafricanus Y32-2 led to the discovery of new compounds with pro-angiogenic, anti-inflammatory effects in zebrafish models and significant cytotoxicity against HepG2 human liver carcinoma cells. Compounds 2, 4, 5, 7, 10 showed dose-dependent pro-angiogenic activity, compounds 7, 8, 10, 11 exhibited anti-inflammatory effects, and compound 6 displayed significant cytotoxicity.
