The Binary Mixtures of Lambda-Cyhalothrin, Chlorfenapyr, and Abamectin, against the House Fly Larvae, Musca domestica L.

Doaa F. El Sherif et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the toxicity of three insecticides and their mixtures against house fly larvae, and found that the mixture of abamectin/chlorfenapyr exhibited the highest toxic effect, while the mixture of lambda-cyhalothrin/abamectin showed an antagonism effect. In addition, glutathione-S-transferase may play a role in detoxifying chlorfenapyr in house fly larvae.

Analysis of Pesticide Residues by QuEChERS Method and LC-MS/MS for a New Extrapolation of Maximum Residue Levels in Persimmon Minor Crop

Pilar Sandin-Espana et al.

Summary: According to EU guidance, residue data extrapolation can be used for setting maximum residue levels (MRLs) with a reduced number of residue trials from a surrogate major crop to a minor crop. In this study, a method for determining pesticide residues in persimmons was developed and validated, and the residues levels were compared to those in apples. The results showed that pesticide residues in persimmons were consistently lower than in apples, and MRLs were set accordingly.

Occurrence of Fungicides in Vineyard and the Surrounding Environment

Meruyert Sergazina et al.

Summary: Seventeen fungicides were detected in various matrices from vineyard areas using gas chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS). Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) was utilized for leaf analysis, demonstrating its suitability for leaf crops across different types of samples. The study also revealed the diffusion and transport of fungicides in both crops and environmental matrices.

Validation of a Rapid Multiresidue Method for the Determination of Pesticide Residues in Vine Leaves. Comparison of the Results According to the Different Conservation Methods

Salem Hayar et al.

Summary: The QuEChERS method was used to detect pesticide residues in grape leaves, with validation for 33 pesticides representing 17 chemical groups commonly used in grape production. Analysis of 17 market brands in Lebanon showed dried vine leaves to be more contaminated than brine-preserved or stuffed vine leaves, with systemic fungicides being the most frequently detected pesticide among all compounds tested.

Analytical Extraction Methods and Sorbents' Development for Simultaneous Determination of Organophosphorus Pesticides' Residues in Food and Water Samples: A Review

Krishna Veni Veloo et al.

Summary: The extensive use of organophosphorus pesticides in agriculture has negative impacts on the environment and human health. Sample preparation is crucial to enrich target analytes before detection, and selecting suitable extraction methods and sorbents is important for improving sensitivity and selectivity of analytical methods. Numerous sorbent materials have been developed in the past decade to cater to the needs of selective and sensitive pesticides' detection in food and water samples.
