Design, synthesis and protein-binding character of an acylhydrazone anticancer candidate

Summary: In this study, an acylhydrazone compound was designed and prepared to investigate its interaction with carrier protein. The interaction mechanism, thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics were systematically analyzed using spectroscopic, electrochemical and modeling techniques. The results demonstrated that the acylhydrazone compound can interact with the protein through hydrophobic interaction. This study provides a basis for the application of this compound as a potential anticancer candidate.

Synthesis of Emodin Acylhydrazone Derivatives and Determination of Vibrio harveyi Inhibitory Activity

Summary: A series of new N-((4,5,7-trimethoxy-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracen-2-yl)methylene)formohydrazide derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their Vibrio harveyi inhibition activity. Results showed that these compounds exhibited varying degrees of inhibition against Vibrio harveyi, with compound 7e showing the best inhibitory activity.

Synthesis and Evaluation of 11-Butyl Matrine Derivatives as Potential Anti-Virus Agents

Summary: A variety of N-substituted-11-butyl matrine derivatives were synthesized and tested for their anti-TMV, fungicidal, and insecticidal activities. The results showed that most derivatives had enhanced anti-TMV activity, and some derivatives also exhibited good fungicidal and insecticidal activities.

Summary: New benzimidazole-N-acylhydrazone derivatives were synthesized by reacting 2-(2-((benzylthio)methyl)-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl) acetohydrazide with various aromatic aldehydes. The compounds exist as mixtures of two conformers, which were confirmed by NMR and mass spectrometry analysis.

Design, Synthesis, and Bioactivity Study of Novel Tryptophan Derivatives Containing Azepine and Acylhydrazone Moieties

Summary: Based on widely used drug design scaffolds, a series of novel tryptophan derivatives containing azepine and acylhydrazone moieties were designed, synthesized, characterized, and evaluated for their biological activities. The results showed that these derivatives exhibited moderate to good antiviral activities against the tobacco mosaic virus, as well as larvicidal and fungicidal activities against Plutella xylostella.

Summary: By synthesizing cholesterol-matrine conjugates, researchers discovered several compounds with significant insecticidal or aphicidal effects against Mythimna separata Walker, Aphis citricola Van der Goot, and Plutella xylostella Linnaeus. Compound IVd not only showed potent aphicidal activity, but also exhibited good control effects in greenhouse conditions. These compounds can serve as potential drug candidates for future insecticides and aphicides.
