The value of18F-FDG PET/CT for predicting or monitoring immunotherapy response in patients with metastatic melanoma: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Narjess Ayati et al.

Summary: The study investigated the ability of 18F-FDG PET/CT in assessing the response of metastatic melanoma patients to immunotherapy. Baseline SUVpeak, MTV, and TLG parameters were found to be promising predictors of treatment response. Modified response assessment criteria are potentially suitable for monitoring immunotherapy, and PET-detectable immune-related adverse events (irAEs) were associated with therapy response.

Semi-Rigid (Aminomethyl) Piperidine-Based Pentadentate Ligands for Mn(II) Complexation

Jonathan Martinelli et al.

Summary: Two pentadentate ligands based on the 2-aminomethylpiperidine structure with two tertiary amino and three oxygen donors were developed for Mn(II) complexation. The Mn complexes formed by these ligands were found to be more stable but with lower pMn values than other pentadentate ligands.

The aluminium-[18F]fluoride revolution: simple radiochemistry with a big impact for radiolabelled biomolecules

Stephen J. Archibald et al.

Summary: The [F-18]AlF radiolabelling method, which combines the favorable decay characteristics of fluorine-18 with the convenience of metal-based radiochemistry, has been widely implemented in the development of radiopharmaceuticals for the clinic. This review captures the current status of [F-18]AlF-based technology and reflects on its impact on nuclear medicine, providing insights into the future prospects of this unique radiolabelling method.

Defining the conditions for the development of the emerging class of FeIII-based MRI contrast agents

Zsolt Baranyai et al.

Summary: Fe(iii) complexes are of interest for developing diagnostic probes for Magnetic Resonance Imaging due to their use of an endogenous metal and superior stability. A detailed understanding of the relationship between their chemical structure, properties, and the molecular parameters governing efficacy is still lacking. Integrated H-1 and O-17 NMR studies, along with theoretical calculations, have provided insights into the parameters controlling their relaxivity, while thermodynamic stability and dissociation kinetics play key roles in their in vivo stability.
