Silver nanoparticle-functionalized 3D flower-like copper (II)-porphyrin framework nanocomposites as signal enhancers for fabricating a sensitive glutathione electrochemical sensor

Tingting Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, silver nanoparticle-functionalized 3D copper-porphyrin framework nanoflowers were used as modifiers for glassy carbon electrodes to detect and quantify glutathione. The combination of increased electrical conductivity, GSH adsorption, and electrocatalytic ability of copper ions allowed for sensitive determination of GSH without the need for additional copper ions in the analytes. The electrochemical sensor demonstrated a wide linear dynamic range, low detection limit, and excellent reproducibility, stability, and anti-interference performance, enabling the quantification of GSH in human serum samples for early disease diagnosis.
