A ratiometric fluorescence sensor for tetracycline detection based on two fluorophores derived from Partridge tea

Lu-Shuang Li et al.

Summary: Blue fluorescent carbon dots (PCDs) were prepared using hydrothermal method with Partridge tea. The ethanol extract of Partridge tea (PEE) emitted red fluorescence. Thus, a novel ratiometric sensor was created by mixing the two fluorophores. Tetracycline (TET) affected the fluorescence of PCDs and PEE in a concentration-dependent manner.

A ratiometric fluorescent sensor for tetracyclines detection in meat based on pH-dependence of targets with lanthanum-doped carbon dots as probes

Ya Jie Fan et al.

Summary: A ratiometric fluorescent sensor for tetracyclines detection was developed based on dual-emission lanthanum-doped carbon dots (La-CDs) as probes and the pH response of tetracyclines. The sensor exhibited high sensitivity and a wide detection range, with improved optical and sensing performance compared to undoped carbon dots (un-CDs). Additionally, a portable paper sensor using La-CDs as probes was successfully tested for detecting tetracyclines in pork and fish.

Stable Metal-Organic Frameworks for Fluorescent Detection of Tetracycline Antibiotics

Lu Liu et al.

Summary: In this work, two stable fluorescent metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), BUT-178 and BUT-179, are synthesized and used to detect tetracycline antibiotics. BUT-179 exhibits better performance in detecting different tetracycline antibiotics in water and eggs, with detection limits reaching the nanomolar level. Furthermore, BUT-179 can be easily recovered and repeatedly used without an obvious performance loss, as confirmed by cycling tests.
