Dynamic analysis of multiple cracked Timoshenko beam under moving load-analytical method

Amin Ghannadiasl et al.

Summary: In this study, the dynamic response of single-span and multi-span damped beams with multiple cracks and elastic boundary conditions under moving loads is investigated using Timoshenko's theory and the Green's function method. The effects of cracks on the behavior of the beams and the influence of elastic restraints on the beam behavior are analyzed.

Nonlinear forced vibration analysis of a multi-cracked Euler-Bernoulli curved beam with inclusion of damping

X. Zhao et al.

Summary: This paper studies the nonlinear forced vibration of a multi-cracked curved beam with damping effects and derives the closed-formed analytical solution. A new transfer matrix method is proposed based on Green's functions. The validity of the analytical solution is verified through experiments, finite element results, and existing analytical solutions. The effects of crack depth and location on vibration are investigated, as well as the interaction between two cracks of the curved beam.

Free vibration of viscoelastically supported beam bridges under moving loads: Closed-form formula for maximum resonant response

Abbas Zangeneh et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a closed-form approximate formula for estimating the maximum resonant response of beam bridges on viscoelastic supports under moving loads. Verification studies show that the formula accurately estimates resonant peaks and is a useful tool for preliminary assessment of railway beam bridges.
