A color image encryption scheme based on 1D cubic map

Summary: A new one-dimensional modular chaotic system, 1-DCE, is introduced in this paper based on the combination of the cubic map and the exponential function. The performance of chaos in the 1-DCE system shows significant improvement compared to classical chaotic maps, with enhanced Lyapunov exponent, initial state sensitivity, and infinite chaotic ranges. The system is applied to color image encryption, resulting in a new efficient encryption scheme with unique encryption results for each encryption time and strong resistance against statistical and differential attacks.
