Summary: A highly thermal-wet comfortable and conformal silk-based electrode has been developed for on-skin electrophysiological measurement under sweaty conditions. The electrode shows high stretchability, low thermal insulation, low evaporative resistance, and high water-vapor transmission rate, enabling better electrocardiography signal quality and the possibility for textile integration to monitor muscle activities under large deformation. This glycerol-plasticized silk-based electrode may further advance on-skin electronics with sweat tolerance.

3D Printable Soy/Silk Hybrid Hydrogels for Tissue Engineering Applications

The fabricated hybrid hydrogels exhibited larger micropores and good cell attachment and proliferation, demonstrating their potential for tissue engineering applications.
