Tuning the Structural and Magnetic Properties of the Stuffed Framework Structures MeFe2O4 (Me = Ni, Ca, and Sr)

Ebtesam E. Ateia et al.

Summary: This article focuses on the facile synthesis of spinel ferrite nanoparticles with various shapes and sizes using the citrate autocombustion technique. The structural and morphological characterization of the prepared samples are conducted, and the phase transformation and magnetic properties are revealed. Especially, the monoclinic SrFe2O4 nanoparticles exhibit significant enhancement in coercive field and potential application as antifungal agents.

Flexible electrospun iron compounds/carbon fibers: Phase transformation and electrochemical properties

Xiaoli Sheng et al.

Summary: This study describes the fabrication of flexible electrodes by embedding different iron-compound nanoparticles in carbon fibers. The Fe3O4/Fe3C/CF electrode exhibits higher capacity and better cycling stability in lithium-ion batteries, attributed to the high specific capacity of Fe3O4 and the excellent catalytic activity of Fe3C.

Study the influence of oxygen-deficient (δ=0.135) in SrFeO3-δ nanoparticles perovskite on structural, electrical and magnetic properties

A. Abd El-Naser et al.

Summary: In this report, SrFeO3-delta nanoparticle perovskite sample was prepared by co-precipitation method. The sample was found to have a cubic phase structure, with iron existing in different oxidation states and exhibiting a small energy band gap in the visible region. The ferroelectric and magnetic properties of the sample were confirmed through various spectroscopic and measurement techniques, leading to the conclusion of its multiferroic nature.

Effect of Cr3+ doped on electronic and magnetic properties of SrFe12O19 by first-principles study

H'Linh Hmok et al.

Summary: This theoretical study demonstrates the improvement in electronic and magnetic properties of Cr-doped SrFe12O19, with Cr3+ ions replacing Fe3+ ions to enhance magnetic properties. Depending on the substitution sites, SrFe11.5Cr0.5O19 exhibits different conductive behaviors, acting as a half-metal when Cr occupies the 4f(1) site.

Ultrasensitive Sensors Based on PdO@SrFe2O4 Nanosphere-Modified Fibers for Real-Time Monitoring of Ethanol Gas

Mahmood ul Haq et al.

Summary: Spinel ferrites modified by PdO nanospheres exhibit high selectivity and sensitivity as ethanol sensors, showing fast response/recovery speed, low detection limit, and stable long-term performance. The superior sensing performance is attributed to the loading of PdO nanospheres into SrFe2O4 fibers, which promote faster gas transmission kinetics and enhance catalytic spots generation.
