Low Urine Secretion of Semaphorin3A in Lupus Patients with Proteinuria

Rimar Doron et al.

Summary: The study showed that urine concentrations of Sema3A were significantly lower in SLE patients, especially those with renal involvement. Urine Sema3A levels were inversely correlated with proteinuria and SLE disease activity, suggesting it could be a potential biomarker for disease activity and renal involvement in lupus patients.

Semaphorin 3A Levels in Lupus With and Without Secondary Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome and Renal Involvement

Gozde Sevgi Kart Bayram et al.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the levels of semaphorin 3A in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with and without renal involvement and secondary antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS). The results showed that the semaphorin 3A levels were lower in all patient groups compared to the control group, and reduced levels were observed in patients with a history of thromboembolism and/or miscarriage, suggesting that semaphorin 3A may play an important role in the pathogenesis of vasculopathy.
