Numerical investigations of concentrated photovoltaic thermal system integrated with thermoelectric power generator and phase change material

Oussama Rejeb et al.

Summary: Thermoelectric modules can convert heat into electric energy, and incorporating them into photovoltaic modules can increase their electrical output. Cooling the modules' cold sides using phase change materials can enhance their electrical performance. The study shows that an increase in solar radiation favors the electrical output of the photovoltaic and thermoelectric modules.

Investigating the Effect of Radiative Cooling on the Operating Temperature of Photovoltaic Modules

Zhenpeng Li et al.

Summary: This study clarifies the effect of radiative cooling on the temperature of silicon photovoltaic modules and finds that thermal emissivity has minimal impact on temperature reduction, while ventilation conditions have a significant effect. The additional radiative cooling coating can only achieve a temperature reduction limit of around 2.0 degrees Celsius on PV modules. Further research suggests developing multifunctional coatings to make the additional radiative cooling coating on existing PV panels cost-effective.
