Wet gas pressure drop across multi-orifice plate in horizontal pipe in low gas-phase Froude number region

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the pressure drop characteristics of wet gas across two different multi-orifice plates in a horizontal pipe. The results showed that there was no significant difference in pressure drop characteristics between circular and slotted multi-orifice plates at the same porosity. New correlations for the low gas-phase Froude number region were proposed based on modified pressure drop models, with the modified Murdock model exhibiting the best prediction accuracies in certain flow regions.

The pressure loss coefficient decays with the fourth power of Equivalent Diameter Ratio (EDR), and a comparative study with the literature is presented for consistency and reliability.
