Improved Characteristics of CdSe/CdS/ZnS Core-Shell Quantum Dots Using an Oleylamine-Modified Process

Summary: CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dots with different oleylamine (OLA) concentrations were synthesized using a one-pot method. The presence of ZnS diffraction peaks indicated the formation of a ZnS shell on the CdSe/CdS core. Interestingly, QDs with higher OLA concentration exhibited diffraction peaks of ZnS/ZnO, showing better thermal stability and slower decay in photoluminescence intensity. These QDs with tunable emission wavelength are suitable for micro-LED display applications.

One-Step Polymeric Melt Encapsulation Method to Prepare CsPbBr3 Perovskite Quantum Dots/Polymethyl Methacrylate Composite with High Performance

Summary: All-inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) were successfully prepared in a CsPbBr3 PQDs/PMMA composite with excellent performance and long-term stability. Through optimization of synthesis conditions, high PLQY and narrow FWHM were achieved. The resulting white LED showed a wide color gamut and high luminous efficiency.

Nonlinear Optical Properties of CdSe and CdTe Core-Shell Quantum Dots and Their Applications

Summary: Recent research has shown that low-dimensional materials, such as quantum dots and core-shell quantum dots, exhibit strong nonlinear optical behavior and have potential applications in photo-electronics, photovoltaic nonlinear optics, light-emitting diode fabrication, and laser protections. Variations in core-shell shape and size, as well as the chemical composition of quantum dots, define their enhanced nonlinear optical properties. Specific nonlinear optical properties, such as nonlinear refraction, optical limiting, saturable absorption, and reverse saturable absorption of CdTe and CdSe quantum dots, along with core-shell quantum dots and their applications, were assessed in this study.

Luminescent films employing quantum dot-cellulose nanocrystal hybrid nanomaterials

Summary: This study introduces a method for preparing high-quality luminescent films using QD-CNC hybrid materials, which involves replacing the organic ligands on the QD surface and acetylating the CNC surface to overcome the challenge of dissolving QD and environmentally friendly material CNC simultaneously. The fabricated film maintains similar photoluminescence quantum yield and lifetime to QDs synthesized in non-polar organic solvents.

Cyanoethyl Cellulose/BaTiO3/GO Flexible Films with Electroconductive Properties

Summary: Indispensable modification of cellulose was carried out to produce cyanoethyl cellulose (CEC) to form films with barium titanate (BTO) and/or graphene oxide (GO) fillers. The composite films showed increased thermal stability, mechanical properties, and dielectric properties, with an enhanced optical band gap energy and dielectric constant, indicating potential applications in embedded capacitor fields.
