Instrumental variable estimation of the marginal structural Cox model for time-varying treatments

Y. Cui et al.

Summary: In this paper, Robins (1998) introduced the concept of marginal structural models for evaluating the joint effects of time-varying treatments in complex longitudinal studies. The author established the identification of model parameters and proposed a sufficient condition for identification using a time-varying instrumental variable. The study also introduced a weighted estimating equation approach to obtain consistent and asymptotically normal estimators for the marginal structural Cox model.
