Summary: In this study, a natural composite adsorbent composed of chitosan, vermiculite, and lignin was used for the removal of UO22+ ions in aqueous solutions. The adsorption process was found to be both spontaneous and endothermic. Theoretical calculations and experimental observations were in good agreement, highlighting the reliability of the study results.

High-Performance Material for the Effective Removal of Uranyl Ion from Solution: Computationally Supported Experimental Studies

Summary: This study investigated the performance of a water-insoluble Fe complex as an adsorbent in uranium recovery and removal. The adsorption process was analyzed based on various parameters, and the results showed that adsorption increased with pH and followed the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order models. The adsorption process was also found to be endothermic and energy-consuming. The computational data supported the experimental studies.

Pollen grains as a low-cost, green, alternative sorbent for hydrophilic solid-phase extraction

Summary: This study demonstrated that pollen grains can be used as a sustainable and green sorbent for extraction and separation applications. By optimizing parameters through experimental designs, phenolic acid residues in soil were successfully separated using the developed pollen sorbent.
