Summary: Despite universal access to healthcare, there are large disparities in CVD outcomes in people with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus, with individuals of South Asian ethnicity having a higher CVD risk associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Other non-traditional risk factors may play a role in this association.

Summary: The study analyzed eHealth policies in Iran from 2004-2020 and identified challenges such as lack of comprehensive approach, strategic plans, consistency among policy documents, and involvement of key actors. There were gaps between desired policies and achieved expectations, indicating the need for evidence-informed eHealth roadmap and strategic plans to establish eHealth as a fundamental part of the health system in Iran.
