Synergy between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis

Fairoosa Poovan et al.

Summary: Catalysis plays a crucial role in sustainable chemical synthesis, but current catalysts face challenges in terms of stability and reusability. Homogeneous catalysts are active but unstable, while heterogeneous catalysts are stable but less active. Therefore, combining homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis concepts is considered a promising strategy to design more ideal catalysts.
