Defect-Engineered 3D Cross-Network Co3O4-xNx Nanostructure for High-Performance Solid-State Asymmetric Supercapacitors

Miao Xing et al.

Summary: The 3D cross-network Co3O4-xNx nanostructure obtained through amino acid self-assembly and pyrolysis has a high specific surface area and suitable pore diameter, providing abundant active sites and promoting ion migration to reduce volume expansion during cycling. The N-doping process through amino acid self-assembly helps improve material hydrophilicity, conductivity, and facilitates rapid electron transport within the electrode. These properties make Co3O4-xNx a promising material for supercapacitors, as demonstrated by high specific capacitance and excellent cycling stability in experimental results.
