Methods to split cognitive task data for estimating split-half reliability: A comprehensive review and systematic assessment

Thomas Pronk et al.

Summary: This study reviews four different methods for estimating the reliability of cognitive task datasets, and recommends using the Monte Carlo splitting method in combination with task design stratification for the most robust results. The effects of different splitting methods on reliability estimates are discussed based on theoretical analysis.

Causal Inference of Body Ownership in the Posterior Parietal Cortex

Marie Chancel et al.

Summary: The study found that activity in the premotor and posterior parietal cortices was related to individual participants and trials in illusion elicitation. Additionally, activity in the posterior parietal cortex matched the predicted probability of illusion emergence of the Bayesian causal inference model based on each participant's behavioral response profile.

The promise of layer-specific neuroimaging for testing predictive coding theories of psychosis

J. Haarsma et al.

Summary: Predictive coding theory offers an explanatory model for understanding the neurocognitive mechanisms of psychosis. However, current predictive coding models of psychosis lack specificity and constraint. Newly developed layer-specific neuroimaging techniques have the potential to test and constrain these models.
