Clinical progression of progressive supranuclear palsy: impact of trials bias and phenotype variants

Duncan Street et al.

Summary: Progressive supranuclear palsy presents with various clinical presentations, with different phenotypes showing slower progression and longer survival than the classical Richardson's syndrome. Current trial criteria may not accurately represent the diverse population of progressive supranuclear palsy patients, impacting trial design and application of results to a broader patient population.

Macular microcirculation characteristics in Parkinson's disease evaluated by OCT-Angiography: a literature review

Evita Evangelia Christou et al.

Summary: The retina may serve as a predictive factor for neurodegenerative disorders, with recent use of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCT-A) in studying macular microcirculation changes in Parkinson's disease (PD). While preliminary evidence suggests OCT-A could be a useful biomarker for cerebral vasculature in PD, further research is needed to confirm its predictive value in clinical practice.
