Swati Verma et al.

Summary: Polycrystalline samples of M-type hexaferrite with varying chemical composition were successfully synthesized using solid state reaction technique. The structural, microstructural and magnetic properties of these samples were investigated. The results showed good phase purity, decreased crystallite size and increased cell volume with increasing dopant concentration. Furthermore, the hexaferrite samples exhibited excellent magnetic properties, making them suitable for various applications.

A sustainable approach for the synthesis of PbFe12O19 materials using tomato pulp as a fuel: Structural, morphological, optical, magnetic, and dielectric traits

Sachin Kumar Godara et al.

Summary: In this study, a PbFe12O19 nanostructured material was synthesized using tomato pulp as an eco-friendly chelating agent, reducing agent, and natural fuel via the sol-gel auto-combustion technique. XRD patterns revealed the presence of additional phases of PbO in all samples (T0, T1, T2, T3, T5) except T4. The FESEM images showed irregularly shaped grains with distinct grain boundaries and agglomeration. The T4 specimen exhibited the highest coercivity (Hc) of 1429 Oe and saturation magnetization (Ms) of 58.3 emu/g. The synthesized nanohexaferrites can serve as potential candidates for microwave absorbers and high-density recording media. The dielectric constant and dissipation factor showed a decreasing trend with increasing frequency, making the hexaferrite suitable for microwave and switching device applications.

A study of magnetic properties of Y-Ni-Mn substituted Co2Z-type nanohexaferrites via vibrating sample magnetometry

Kirti Singha et al.

Summary: Z-type nanohexaferrites have been synthesized and characterized, showing excellent magnetic properties suitable for applications in multilayer chip inductors, electromagnets, and magnetic storage devices. The synthesized specimens exhibited a Z-type single-phase hexagonal structure with additional phases, and had an average particle size in the range of 40-55 nm. FTIR spectra confirmed the microstructural results, and magnetic parameters like saturation magnetization and coercivity indicated soft ferrite characteristics in the specimens.
