Graphene-Based Opto-Thermoelectric Tweezers

Xianyou Wang et al.

Summary: Since the discovery of graphene, its excellent physical properties have greatly improved the performance of optoelectronic devices. In this study, graphene is introduced to the field of optical-tweezer technology and a new graphene-based opto-thermoelectric tweezer is demonstrated. Compared with traditional optical tweezers, this technology significantly reduces the required incident light energy and offers advantages such as a broader working bandwidth and larger working area. The higher thermal conductivity and uniformity of graphene make it easier to process, and even monolayer graphene provides stable trapping for particles. This work showcases the potential of graphene in optical-tweezer technology and its applications in various fields.

Monolayer CVD Graphene Barrier Enhances the Stability of Planar p-i-n Organic-Inorganic Metal Halide Perovskite Solar Cells

Brandon Dunham et al.

Summary: An orthogonal solvent-assisted process was developed and utilized to transfer CVD graphene onto the perovskite active layer, acting as a barrier layer to improve the environmental stability of PSCs by preventing moisture ingress and blocking silver ion diffusion. Devices with a graphene barrier showed significantly better retention of initial PCE after exposure to humidity and heat treatment compared to devices without a graphene barrier, demonstrating the potential of CVD graphene in enhancing PSCs stability.

Transparent conductive film of polyvinyl alcohol: reduced graphene oxide composite

Konstantinos Georgiou et al.

Summary: Interest in transparent conductive materials, particularly graphene and its derivatives, has grown in recent years due to their unique optical and electrical properties. While previous studies have explored replacing indium doped tin oxide with graphene derivatives, a simple and effective method for producing competitive transparent conductive films (TCFs) using graphene has not yet been established. This article introduces a new procedure for fabricating TCFs with high quality, uniformity, and stability, utilizing a combination of drop casting, reduction with triethylenetetramine vapors, and doping with nitric acid. The resulting TCFs exhibit comparable conductivity to existing literature, but with the advantages of simplicity, low cost, scalability, and stability.
