Pressure-induced structural, electronic, and magnetic evolution in cubic inverse spinel NiFe2O4, an ab-initio study

M. Naveed-Ul-Haq et al.

Summary: In this report, the electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of NiFe2O4 (NFO) were investigated, as well as their variations under external hydrostatic pressure. The results showed that increasing pressure decreases the bandgap value, lattice constant, and net magnetic moment of NFO, and converts it from a semiconducting ferrimagnetic material to a paramagnetic material. Furthermore, the optical properties were also affected by the external pressure.

Emergence of large exchange anisotropy in Pr doped nanocrystalline spinel ferrites

Mritunjoy Prasad Ghosh et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the impact of rare earth Pr3+ doping on the microstructural and magnetic properties of soft nickel nanoferrites. Higher Pr concentration intensifies the superparamagnetic behavior, leading to larger exchange bias fields and coercivity.

Nickel ferrite ceramics: combustion synthesis, sintering, characterization, and magnetic and electrical properties

Klatnatee Vepulanont et al.

Summary: Nickel ferrite ceramics were prepared by combustion synthesis and sintering, with single-step sintering producing a wider density range and grain size range, while two-step sintering resulted in higher microhardness. In both methods, higher sintering temperatures led to ceramics with greater saturation magnetization.

Effect of annealing temperature on morphologies of metal organic framework derived NiFe2O4 for supercapacitor application

P. D. Patil et al.

Summary: This study aimed to obtain different morphologies of metal organic framework (MOF) derived NiFe2O4 for supercapacitor applications. The MOF derived NFO500 electrode exhibited high specific capacitance, specific energy, and good electrochemical performance, attributed to its mesh-like structure facilitating ion diffusion and low charge-transfer resistance at the electrode-electrolyte interface.

A study of structural and dielectric properties of Zn2+ doped MnFe2O4 and NiFe2O4 spinel ferrites

Kaliram Patil et al.

Summary: This study discusses the structural and dielectric properties of TM0.7Zn0.3Fe2O4 (TM = Ni, Mn) spinel ferrites, showing that they exhibit high dielectric constant and relatively low loss values, making them feasible for advanced electronic device applications. The materials were synthesized by solid state reaction and characterized using XRD and Raman scattering techniques. The XRD data confirmed a cubic structure for both samples, while the Raman spectral study verified this and displayed fingerprint modes of vibration related to the cubic structure acquired by the ferrite materials.
