A nonlinear magneto-elastoplastic coupling model based on Jiles-Atherton theory of ferromagnetic materials

Xiangyi Hu et al.

Summary: A new nonlinear magneto-elastoplastic model for ferromagnetic materials is proposed in this study based on the magneto-mechanical coupling effect. The model shows superior prediction ability for magnetostrictive strain, magnetization, and hysteresis phenomena. The mechanism of the effect of elasto-plastic loading and residual stress on hysteresis is analyzed.

Yield strength measurement of ferromagnetic materials based on the inverse magnetostrictive effect

Fei Han et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a non-destructive method for measuring the yield strength of ferromagnetic materials, which is influenced by the microstructure of the material and its inverse magnetostrictive effect. Experimental verification is conducted using an electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer (EMAT) detection system. The relationship between electromagnetic acoustic transducer signals and the static magnetic field strength is extracted to establish a regression model for predicting yield strength, achieving a maximum prediction accuracy of 12.78% on a tested specimen from the same batch.

One-dimensional magneto-mechanical model for anhysteretic magnetization and magnetostriction in ferromagnetic materials

Pengpeng Shi

Summary: Researchers have established a model to analyze the relationship between magnetostriction and magnetization in ferromagnetic materials under stress, proposing a new fitting expression with a clearer physical meaning. The newly established model demonstrates widespread effectiveness in accurately describing the nonlinear response of material under stress and applied magnetic field.

Peculiarities of the phase transformation dynamics in bulk FeRh based alloys from magnetic and structural measurements

Vladimir Zverev et al.

Summary: By analyzing the coexistence of antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic phases in bulk iron-rhodium and its alloys, the temperature dependencies and magnetic features were revealed, along with the observed effect of Pd concentration on hysteresis behavior. Direct magnetic measurements using scanning Hall probe microscopy showed the spatial distribution of phase transition, revealing the coexistence scale and progression under an external magnetic field in Pd-doped FeRh alloys.

Summary: This paper introduces a new nonlinear magneto-mechanical coupling constitutive model based on thermodynamic theory and hysteresis effect, which accurately describes the material hysteresis and magnetostrictive strain. The research also investigates the effects of stress and plastic deformations on magnetic properties.
