Mechanically Supported Early Graft Failure After Heart Transplantation

Summary: The study identified risk factors for mechanically supported severe early graft failure (EGF) in heart transplant recipients and found that both donor and recipient factors could influence the occurrence of EGF. Patients requiring post-HTx extracorporeal life support (ECLS) had significantly lower survival rates at 1 year and 5 years compared to those without EGF; however, there was no significant difference in 5-year conditional survival rates between the two groups.
