Examining Veterans' Experiences With In Vitro Fertilization Provided Under PL 114-223

Summary: Telephone or video interviews were conducted with 96 Veterans and 14 spouses to examine their experiences with IVF services provided under P.L. 114-223. The interviews revealed that many Veterans have not fully utilized the IVF benefits and expressed concerns about the need for benefit expansion, improved communication, and accessibility for special populations.

Lifetime infertility and environmental, chemical, and hazardous exposures among female and male US veterans

Summary: This study aimed to assess the association between infertility and environmental, chemical, or hazardous material exposures among US veterans. The results showed that veterans with infertility had higher rates of individual exposures, including petrochemicals and polychlorinated biphenyls. Moreover, veterans reporting infertility also reported a higher number of total exposures.
