Behavior of quaternary ammonium salts and terpenoids-based deep eutectic solvents in aqueous phase

Andrey Shishov et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the stability and composition of deep eutectic solvents based on quaternary ammonium salts, terpenoids, and fatty acids in the aqueous phase. It was found that all two-component solvents transformed into three-component solvents in the presence of water. The influence of different hydrogen bond acceptors and donors on the formation of three-component solvents was also explored.

Surfactant-assisted salting-out homogenous liquid-liquid extraction based on deep eutectic solvents using central composite design; application in the extraction of natamycin from fruit juices before its determination by HPLC-UV

Vahid Alimoradi et al.

Summary: In this study, surfactant-assisted deep eutectic solvent-based salting-out homogenous liquid-liquid extraction was introduced for the isolation of natamycin from fruit juices. The method showed low limits of determination and quantification, acceptable repeatability, and satisfactory extraction recovery.

A rotating disk sorptive extraction based on hydrophilic deep eutectic solvent formation

Andrey Shishov et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel preconcentration method using deep eutectic solvent formation on a rotating disk for sorption of polar analytes from complex non-polar matrices. The results demonstrate that this approach can significantly reduce sorption and elution time while achieving selective separation of target analytes.

Microextraction of sulfonamides from milk samples based on hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent formation by pH adjusting

Aleksei Pochivalov et al.

Summary: A novel liquid-liquid microextraction approach using a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent formed by pH adjustment was successfully applied for the determination of sulfonamides in milk samples. The nature of precursors played a crucial role in the extraction process, providing different types of interactions with analytes. In situ formation of solvent microdroplets facilitated rapid mass transfer of sulfonamides.
