Small-molecule fluorescent probes based on covalent assembly strategy for chemoselective bioimaging

Summary: Fluorescent probes have been extensively studied and applied in environment and health analysis. Covalent assembly probes, as a novel type of reaction probes, have many advantages. Significant contributions have been made in both the application and mechanism of covalent assembly probes over the past decade. This review summarizes the recent development of covalent assembly probes, classifies them based on different analytes, and introduces their detection mechanism in detail.

A highly sensitive naphthalimide based fluorescent turn-on sensor for H2S and its bio-imaging applications

Summary: A novel fluorescent sensor based on intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) has been designed and developed for detecting H2S ions. The fluorescence intensity of the sensor is linearly related to the concentration of H2S and it has high selectivity. It can be used for fluorescence bio-imaging in living cells.

Odour concentrations prediction based on odorants concentrations from biosolid emissions

Summary: This study analyzed emissions from 56 biosolid samples collected from two wastewater treatment plants in Sydney, Australia, using analytical and sensorial methods to determine the relationship between odorant concentrations and COD. The results demonstrate the usability and accuracy of probabilistic methods and nonlinear transformations in modeling odor concentrations based on odorant concentrations from biosolid emissions.
