Red mark syndrome (RMS) in farmed rainbow trout: First report of outbreaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Summary: Red mark syndrome (RMS) is a non-lethal inflammatory skin disorder in farmed adult rainbow trout, with uncertain etiology but positive correlation with Midichloria-like organism. The first cases of RMS in Bosnia and Herzegovina were described, occurring in two intensive farms in late winter and spring of 2020, confirmed by pathological and molecular examination.
