Alteration in soil arsenic dynamics and toxicity to sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) in response to phosphorus in different textured soils

Muhammad Awais Piracha et al.

Summary: Phosphorus can affect the dynamics of arsenic in soil and its toxicity to plants. The addition of P increased labile, calcium-bound, organic matter-bound, and residual As fractions, while decreased iron-bound and aluminum-bound As fractions. P reduced arsenic accumulation in plant tissues and mitigated oxidative stress, resulting in improved growth and yield of sunflower.
