Double linker MOF-derived NiO and NiO/Ni supercapacitor electrodes for enhanced energy storage

Summary: High-performance nanoporous carbons were prepared from mulberry leaves residues using hydrothermal-carbonization and microwave-assisted treatment. The obtained porous carbon exhibited micropores and mesopores, with a high specific surface area and pore volume. The adsorption test showed that the porous carbon had a remarkable adsorption capacity for methyl orange, with an uptake of 99%.

Activated carbon from olive tree pruning residue for symmetric solid-state supercapacitor

Summary: This study presents the development of a symmetric solid-state supercapacitor using activated carbon from olive pruning waste. Chemically activated carbons with high surface area and developed pore structure showed superior electrochemical performance compared to physically activated carbons. A Study on Superior Mesoporous Activated Carbons for Ultra Power Density Supercapacitor from Biomass Precursors

This study successfully demonstrated a better route to produce an AC-based supercapacitor electrode with comparable values to those reported in the literature.
