Enhancing the Properties of FeSiBCr Amorphous Soft Magnetic Composites by Annealing Treatments

Hongya Yu et al.

Summary: The high-frequency magnetic properties of FeSiBCr amorphous powder cores were studied, and it was found that annealing at low temperatures can improve the effective permeability and reduce core loss. The sample annealed at 480 degrees C showed the best magnetic performance.

High-performance core-shell-type FeSiCr@MnZn soft magnetic composites for high-frequency applications

Wen Nie et al.

Summary: Soft magnetic composites (SMCs) are widely used in electronic components, and their high-frequency characteristics can be improved by coating FeSiCr powders with different concentrations of MnZn ferrites. In the experiment, SMCs with 4.0 wt% MnZn ferrites showed the best electromagnetic properties.

Ferrothermal reduction of iron(III)phosphate insulating layers in soft magnetic composites

K. Ouda et al.

Summary: In modern AC technologies, improving the power efficiency of soft magnetic core materials is crucial, and powder metallurgy provides a promising alternative with the thermal stability of insulating layers playing a key role. The study reveals that ferrothermal reduction occurs, with metallic iron in SMCs acting as a reducing agent.

Effect of phosphating solution pH value on the formation of phosphate conversion coatings for corrosion behaviors on AZ91D

Huayun Du et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of pH value of phosphating solution on the corrosion behavior of phosphate conversion coatings (CCs) on AZ91D. The results show that CCs fabricated under pH 4.0 demonstrate the best corrosion resistance with minimal micro-crack dimensions. The study provides an alternative approach for combating metal corrosion.
