Facile synthesis of Fe-MoS2/NRGO composite material as effective electrocatalyst for high-efficiency hydrogen evolution reaction

Xiufen Yao et al.

Summary: In this study, an improved HER catalyst, Fe-MoS2/NRGO, was successfully synthesized. The catalyst exhibits remarkable catalytic performance with a very low overpotential and a high catalytic activity compared to most previously reported MoS2 catalysts. Density functional theory simulations and experimental results indicate that the excellent electrocatalytic performance is attributed to the three-dimensional nanostructure and the effect of Fe/N atoms.
