Synthesis of carnation flower-like Bi2O2CO3 photocatalyst and its promising application for photoreduction of Cr(VI)

Summary: In this study, high-quality carnation flower-like Bi2O2CO3 hierarchical architectures were synthesized via a hydrothermal route, and their photocatalytic activity for the removal of Cr(VI) was investigated. Additionally, the determination of Cr(VI) concentration using UV-vis absorption measurements with 1,5-diphenylcarbazide as the chromogenic agent was examined.

Exposure to antibiotics during development could reduce or eliminate the symbiotic microbes in mosquitoes. This study found that a combination of rifampicin and tetracycline at environmentally acceptable levels had detrimental effects on the reproductive physiology of Aedes albopictus females, affecting hatching rates, fertility, histopathological damage, and the expression of certain proteins and genes.

Summary: Iron Oxychloride (FeOCl) prepared by partial thermal decomposition was studied as a heterogeneous Fenton catalyst for degrading tetracycline (TC), showing efficient degradation performance with a degradation rate of 92.9% for 60 mg/L TC under optimized conditions within 60 minutes. FeOCl/H2O2 system exhibited wide pH range for efficient TC degradation, stability, and reusability.

Construction of full spectrum-driven CsxWO3/g-C3N4 heterojunction catalyst for efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction

This was attributed to the localized surface plasmonic resonance effect and the formation of heterojunction structure, leading to improved charge separation efficiency, good light-harvesting ability, and broadened light response.
