Multifunctional DNAzyme-Anchored Metal-Organic Framework for Efficient Suppression of Tumor Metastasis

Yun Zhao et al.

Summary: This study developed a versatile theranostic agent to combat metastatic tumors. By delivering a specific DNAzyme, it effectively inhibits the invasion of cancer cells through gene silencing. The combined gene/chemodynamic therapy is achieved by self-supplied DNAzyme cofactors and efficient glutathione depletion. Additionally, the photothermal stimuli further promote the therapeutic strategy and accelerate the release of DNAzyme, resulting in effective tumor elimination and metastasis blockage.
