Microwave absorption performance of porous carbon particles modified by nickel with different morphologies

Summary: This study prepared porous carbon particles from wheat flour through pyrolysis and activation, and modified the surface and pores of carbon particles with nickel-rich particles of different morphologies through subsequent coprecipitation and electroless plating. The experimental results show that the chain-shaped morphology of nickel particles provides the highest dielectric loss, resulting in excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the composite particles under specific conditions.

Bird-Nest-Like Multi-Interfacial MXene@SiCNWs@Co/C Hybrids with Enhanced Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

Summary: The MXene@SiCNWs@Co/C hybrid absorbers with a bird-nest-like structure were prepared by in situ growth and carbonization processes followed by electrostatic self assembly. The electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the MXene@SiCNWs@Co/C absorber could be effectively regulated and optimized by changing the proportion of MXene and SiCNWs@Co/C. The prepared MXene@SiCNWs@Co/C absorber exhibited superior impedance matching, complementary dissipation mechanism, and plentiful heterointerfaces, making it a highly efficient electromagnetic absorber.

Summary: In this work, a hierarchical yolk-double shell Fe@NCNs/MnO2 architecture is fabricated using thermal-induced phase separation engineering and redox strategy. The composites exhibit matched impedance and wideband microwave absorption due to the internal cavity architectures, multiple hetero-interfaces, dielectric-magnetic synergistic effect, and hierarchical conformations. The minimum reflection loss reaches -46.7 dB with 3.3 mm thickness, and the effective bandwidth (<-10 dB) achieves 10.8 GHz at 3.1 mm.

Engineering flexible and green electromagnetic interference shielding materials with high performance through modulating WS2 nanosheets on carbon fibers

Summary: This research focuses on the synthesis of WS2-carbon fiber composites using a simple hydrothermal method and their application in EMI shielding for electronic devices. The results show that the EMI shielding performance of WS2-CF is significantly improved, especially at S- and C-bands.
