Homogeneous sub-nanophase network tailoring of dual organosilica membrane for enhancing CO2 gas separation

Jing-Yi Li et al.

Summary: Dual organosilica membranes were synthesized and the effects of different chemical ratios on membrane performance were investigated. The reaction mechanism behind CO2 capture using the membranes at ambient conditions was studied. It was found that BTESE has high CO2 affinity and glycidyl POSS contributes to dimensional and mechanical stability of the membranes.

Effect of heat diffusivity for driving chain stitching of dual-type hybrid organosilica-derived membranes

Jing-Yi Li et al.

Summary: This study proposes the usage of dual hybrid organosilica for discussing the influence of thermal-driven chain stitching on the organosilica membrane structure. The research focuses on the influence of gas thermal diffusivity on the hybrid organosilica membrane for separating different gases. The results show that the fabricated organosilica membrane exhibits good performance in gas separation under optimal conditions.

A proposed global layout of carbon capture and storage in line with a 2 °C climate target

Yi-Ming Wei et al.

Summary: A global layout for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is crucial for limiting global warming, with a proposed strategy matching carbon sources and sinks in 85 countries and regions. The findings show economic feasibility with identified carbon clusters and sinks, but global collaboration is needed for implementation.
