Systematically Exploring the Chemical Ingredients and Absorbed Constituents of Polygonum capitatum in Hyperuricemia Rat Plasma Using UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS

Huanyu Guan et al.

Summary: In this study, the chemical ingredients of P. capitatum and its absorbed constituents in the plasma of hyperuricemia rats were comprehensively detected using UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS. A total of 114 chemical components and 68 related xenobiotics were identified or tentatively characterized. These findings provide important information for further investigation on the active constituents and action mechanisms of P. capitatum for anti-hyperuricemia effects.

Systematic Screening of Chemical Constituents in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Arnebiae Radix by UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry

Lian Zhu et al.

Summary: Arnebiae Radix, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, has been widely used for the treatment of various skin conditions. A rapid and effective method using UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry was established in this study to identify its chemical constituents. A total of 188 compounds were identified, with 114 of those being reported for the first time. This method lays the foundation for further understanding the active ingredients and quality control of Arnebiae Radix.

A stepwise strategy integrating metabolomics and pseudotargeted spectrum-effect relationship to elucidate the potential hepatotoxic components in Polygonum multiflorum

Yunfei Song et al.

Summary: This study developed a strategy combining metabolomics and pseudotargeted spectrum-effect relationship to explore the potential hepatotoxic components in Polygonum multiflorum. By identifying and comparing 112 components, as well as screening the reduced differential components between raw and processed PM, 16 components with potential hepatotoxicity were identified. Mathematical models were also established to further identify the key variables affecting hepatotoxicity.
