Spectroscopic analysis of 2-(5-mercapto-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-6-methylquinolin-4-ol binding to blood plasma albumin

Summary: The binding of the biologically active substance Cl to BSA was studied using fluorescence and spectroscopy methods. It was found that Cl quenches the fluorescence of BSA through both static and dynamic mechanisms. Hydrogen bonding and van der Waals interactions were the main forces regulating the Cl-BSA interactions. The BSA secondary structure also underwent changes.
