Molecular insights of hyaluronic acid - ethambutol and hyaluronic acid - isoniazid drug conjugates act as promising novel drugs for the treatment of tuberculosis

R. Thirumalaisamy et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effectiveness and strong binding affinity of two novel hyaluronic acid tuberculosis drug conjugates towards tuberculosis molecular protein targets. The results show that the hyaluronic acid conjugates exhibit better drug profile and binding affinity compared to their free form drugs. Furthermore, molecular docking and dynamic simulation analyses demonstrate that the conjugates have more interactions and higher simulation scores with the target proteins of tuberculosis.
