Structural characteristic and formation mechanism of hemihydrate calcium sulfate whiskers prepared using FGD gypsum

Summary: Hemihydrate calcium sulfate whiskers were synthesized via hydrothermal method and characterized using XRD and SEM. The results revealed that the holding time influenced the intensity and aspect ratio of the diffraction peaks of the whiskers. Bone cements for therapy and regeneration for minimally invasive treatment of neoplastic bone defects

Summary: A multifunctional injectable metal-organic framework cobalt coordinated tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin modified calcium phosphate cement was prepared for the minimally invasive treatment of neoplastic bone defects. It demonstrated excellent photothermal properties and therapeutic effects against bone tumors in vitro and in vivo, as well as desirable osteogenesis and angiogenesis for tissue regeneration. The Co-TCPP composite bone cement has great potential for bone tumor therapy and tissue regeneration.
