Juvenile Crust Formation in the Precambrian Singhbhum, Dharwar Cratons and the Southern Granulite Terrain, India and Geodynamic Transitions: Evidence from Zircon U-Pb age-Hf Isotope Systematics

T. Vijaya Kumar et al.

Summary: Based on zircon age-Hf isotopic data, multiple episodes of juvenile crust formation in the Archean Singhbhum and Dharwar cratons and the Archean-Proterozoic Southern Granulite Terrain (SGT) over a span of 3.7 billion years have been deciphered. These observations indicated distinct changes in crustal processes, plate tectonics, and magmatic activities over different geological time periods in these terranes.
