Summary: The purpose of this study was to define the thresholds for patient acceptable symptom state (PASS) for the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, Joint Replacement (KOOS JR) and the Hip disability and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, Joint Replacement (HOOS JR) after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). Using a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, the study found that PASS thresholds were influenced by patient-specific factors.
